Beth joined FCSL July 2016 and her focus is on deployment of hydrogen fuelling and fuel cell systems. She was the Project Lead for the Innovate UK funded DIMES feasibility study (Distributed Innovative Multi-use Energy Systems for urban areas,) sited in the Bicester surrounds, which ended successfully in November 2017.

She was also a Women in Innovation award finalist for her concept of a mini hydrogen dispenser for breakdown service vehicles. This project was funded as HySerVe under Infrastructure Systems Round 2 and finished in 2019, with the end-product being integrated into the AA’s prototype ‘alternative fuels assist’ vehicle (which also incorporates a battery charger). The mini dispenser was successfully trialled at the Toyota GB headquarters. It has also been used in real life to rescue two stranded Hyundai ix35 fuel cell vehicles, and one Hyundai Nexo (during the Telegraph 1000 Miles Challenge published in Feb 19).

She is delighted to be an Executive Member of the UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association and retains an active position in Hydrogen London and the local Swindon Hydrogen Hub community.
