SUMMARY:West Midlands Bright Solar Future - Making 2030 Climate Emergency
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \n( Download here ) Birmingham Climate change Conference\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] \nWednesday 1st November – 6.30pm for 7.15pm\n\nBirmingham & Midland Institute\, 9 Margaret Street\, Birmingham B3 3BS\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nThis partnership project seeks to accelerate understanding and engagement for achieving the UK  for a 500% increase in solar power by 2035\, generating from 15 to 70GW or more. It’s the quickest and best local mean of producing vast amounts of clean\, green and cheaper power\,\ncreating jobs\, business and innovation adding to the circular economy. \nSolar mapping identifies the potential for 12 million panels in the region on large south-facing and flat roofs as well as carparks\, particularly with commercial and public sector. Large clusters of buildings offer greater cost benefit integrating shared storage\, smart systems\, EV points\, energy efficiency and other renewable sources such as wind \, heat and cooling pumps\, hydro and hydrogen.\nTypical are local councils\, business\, retail or industrial parks\, education campuses\, hospitals\, housing  ssociations etc. It enables shared green energy generation and consumption with minimal reliance on the National Grid known as decentralised or community energy systems.\nComplementing this is consideration for West Midlands Solar Procurement Partnership plan that could offer economy of scale\, stimulating UK manufacturing capacity and increase skilled\nworkforce at every level of the supply chain .[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \n( click below ) TICKETS CAN BE BOOKED HERE\n\nTICKETS\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nEVENT SPEAKERS\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nChair – Tony McNally\nManaging Director Climate Change\nSolutions Ltd \nSerena Bacuzzi\nRegional Principal Net Zero Projects\nOfficer Midlands Net Zero Hub \nMark Wakeford\nChair Evo Energy\, Vice Chair\nConstructiong Excellence-Midlands\,\nMember of the Government’s Solar Task Force \nJohn Martin\nTransformation Lead City Energy\nTransformation E.ON UK \nChair – Rajdeep Kandola\nDirector external Affairs \, Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce \nDaniella Parker\nProject Manager Solar for Schools\n& Schools Ambassador \nLuke Strickland\nNet Zero Advisory Lead Buildings &\nCities Mott MacDonald \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
