Coventry Hydrogen Event

This event hosted by Coventry University will celebrate the achievements of the FCH JU-funded SWARM Project, which finishes this year, putting the project in the context of the wider hydrogen transport landscape in the UK and Europe and reflecting on the benefits of implementing the technology as a local solution.

The event will feature presentations on:

SWARM Project

State of Play for Hydrogen Mobility
Presentations from Air Liquide, Element Energy, Microcab, Riversimple and others

International and UK context

Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in the EU, by the FCH JU
Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in the UK

SWARM project overview

The European project SWARM (“Demonstration of Small 4-Wheel fuel cell passenger vehicle Applications in Regional and Municipal transport”) established demonstration
fleets of small passenger vehicles that builds on and expands existing hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.
Three regions deployed these vehicles: the British Midlands and Wales, the Brussels area and Wallonia, and the Weser-Ems region in North-west Germany. Each of these regions also deployed a new hydrogen refuelling site and gained the infrastructure, public exposure and technological understanding to act as seed locations for future large scale vehicle rollout.

These activities have received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7-2007-2013) through the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking under grant agreement number 303485.
This event is organised with the support and as a collaboration between :
